Robert J. Castillo, CFA CPA
Mr. Castillo brings 16 years of business and investing experience to the Partnership having been one of the initial partners at Valor Equity Management, LLC, and a Co-Founder of the private equity division of FINOVA Capital’s Corporate Finance Equity Group.  Mr. Castillo has also served in various CEO and CFO capacities as well as a financial advisor to various lower middle market companies.  In addition, Mr. Castillo has been a Limited Partner in several lower middle market private equity funds.  Mr. Castillo has worked with over 50 companies in his role as a private equity investor and as an operating executive / advisor representing over $1 billion in transaction value.   

Prior to founding the Partnership, Mr. Castillo was an initial partner at Valor, a successful Chicago-based private equity firm.  After seven years at Valor, Mr. Castillo decided to form the Partnership in order to remain focused on investments in the lower middle market.  Prior to Valor, Mr. Castillo was part of the team that launched American Capital Strategies’ (NASDAQ: ACAS) Los Angeles private equity investment effort and was also responsible for creating the successful private equity division of FINOVA Capital’s Corporate Finance Equity Group.  At FINOVA, Mr. Castillo was a member of the group’s investment committee and directly responsible for 18 equity investments in direct, co-investment and fund investment transactions.  Mr. Castillo has held various underwriting positions within the corporate finance divisions of FINOVA Capital and Heller Financial.  Mr. Castillo began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick performing valuations and attestations of financial service clients including venture capital and buyout funds. 

Mr. Castillo holds a B.S. in Accounting from Illinois State University and has attended graduate level courses at the University of Chicago.  Mr. Castillo is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.  Mr. Castillo heads the Partnership’s Chicago headquarters office.

Thomas P. Harrison, MBA
Mr. Harrison has spent his 25 year career providing capital to the lower middle market.  Most recently, Mr. Harrison Co-Founded and managed Diamond Creek Capital, a commercial finance company specializing in investments in lower middle market companies.  Prior to Diamond Creek, Mr. Harrison was a Managing Director with Roth Capital Partners (“RCP”) where he co-managed RCP’s Debt Capital Markets / Private Placements Group.  Prior to joining RCP, Mr. Harrison spent four years with Wells Fargo Foothill, a leading commercial finance company with over $20 billion in loan commitments.  Mr. Harrison also was a Co-Founder, along with Mr. Castillo, of the private equity division of FINOVA Capital’s Corporate Finance Equity Group, investing in private equity fund investments, direct equity investments and co-investments.  During his career, Mr. Harrison has personally negotiated and closed over two hundred leveraged transactions aggregating in excess of $2.8 billion in enterprise value.

Mr. Harrison received his B.S. degree in Economics from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania and his M.B.A. degree from Pepperdine University.  Mr. Harrison heads the Partnership’s Orange County office.

Stephen P. Dorton, MBA
Mr. Dorton has 19 years of operations finance, business development, and investment experience with The Walt Disney Company and, most recently, with NAVTEQ Corporation.  Prior to joining the Partnership, Mr. Dorton established and ran NAVTEQ’s Treasury Department where he was responsible for fixed income investments, foreign currency strategy, structuring international M&A transactions and managing the Global Sourcing team.  Initially, Mr. Dorton joined NAVTEQ as Director of Corporate Finance where he headed all planning processes for the company and was a key member of the management team that took NAVTEQ through an IPO in 2004, which ultimately was one of the ten largest IPO’s during that year.  NAVTEQ is the leading global provider of digital maps and was recently acquired by Nokia for approximately $8 billion.

Prior to joining NAVTEQ, Mr. Dorton spent 13 years working for The Walt Disney Company (“Disney”) serving in several capacities, most recently in Corporate Treasury.  Mr. Dorton was responsible for coordinating Disney’s HK$3.3 billion syndicated loan that financed the creation of Hong Kong Disneyland and managed the financings of film sale/leaseback transactions for The Disney Studio and ABC.  While working in Disney’s Theme Parks & Resorts group, Mr. Dorton managed the International Business Development group and was a key member of the delegation that successfully negotiated terms, conditions and incentives of the HK$18 billion joint venture between the Hong Kong Government and Disney, which established Hong Kong Disneyland.  He also held positions in Revenue Management, Marketing & Sales Finance, and Attractions Planning where he coordinated Five Year Plans, Annual Operating Plans, and monthly forecasts for the Theme Parks & Resorts Division.

Mr. Dorton holds a M.B.A. from University of Florida and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.

Patricia ("Tish") M. Borkowski, MBA
Ms. Borkowski brings over 21 years of investment and financial experience to Invision Capital. Prior to joining Invision Capital, Ms. Borkowski was Director of a diversified fund of private equity, hedge fund and real estate investments for a high net worth family office where she also served as a member of the Fund’s Investment Committee. Prior to that she was a Managing Director at JPMorgan (formerly Bank One) where she was part of the proprietary capital investment effort. Ms. Borkowski invested subordinated debt and equity in middle market companies in partnership with private equity funds and management. Responsibilities included: sourcing, structuring, company and industry due diligence, documentation, monitoring ongoing portfolio companies’ performance and participating in Board of Directors meetings. Additionally, while at JPMorgan, Ms. Borkowski served on the Management Committee and oversaw all aspects of client solutions for JPMorgan’s (formerly Bank One) hedge fund of funds group, which invested both proprietary and client assets in portfolios of hedge funds. She also participated in the Investment Committee for the JPMorgan New Frontier Fondo di Fondi, JPMorgan's Italian hedge fund of funds product.

Prior to joining Bank One, Ms. Borkowski was a Senior Vice President at Allied Capital where she invested subordinated debt and equity in middle market companies. Prior to that Ms. Borkowski worked at William Blair & Company in the Debt Capital Market’s Group where her primary focus was working with private equity groups. She also spent several years providing senior debt and equity co-investments in partnership with private equity funds to finance leveraged buyouts at LaSalle Bank, N.A. and Heller Financial, Inc. Ms. Borkowski began her career in the tax department of Arthur Andersen & Co. Ms. Borkowski received a B.S. in Accounting from Marquette University and a M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management with a concentration in Finance and Management & Strategy.

Ms. Borkowski is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Chicago Finance Exchange, a Chicago based network for senior women in finance; Winning Workplaces, an Evanston based nonprofit committed to helping small and midsize organizations create high-performance workplaces; and Friends of the Lake Forest Library, a local charitable organization focused on educational, civic and literary activities. She is also a prior Board member of the Chicago Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and has spoken at various industry events related to private equity.

William Paul Johnstone II, MBA
Mr. Johnstone has four years of operations and business analysis experience with lower middle market companies.  Prior to joining the Partnership in 2008, Mr. Johnstone spent several years working directly for Mr. Castillo as a business analyst at Premier Card Solutions, LLC (“PCS”), a Valor Equity Management, LLC, portfolio company.  Mr. Johnstone’s experience included various operational responsibilities ranging from assisting with facility closures, system builds and deep analytical assessments from both an operational and financial basis.  Mr. Johnstone spent significant time building and implementing various metrics and models that were utilized to provide senior management with clear and concise information.

Prior to joining PCS, Mr. Johnstone worked as a graduate assistant at the University of New Mexico where he studied and analyzed the effects of NAFTA on the Mexican economy and the subsequent rise of the maquiladora system.  Mr. Johnstone worked in conjunction with students and professors in Aguascalientes, Mexico at the Institute of Technology and Economics of Monterrey during his time as a graduate assistant.  Mr. Johnstone also served as an assistant in the Financial Markets and Institutions department at the University of New Mexico where he assisted in the successful development of a student driven investment portfolio group.

Mr. Johnstone received a B.A. and a M.B.A. in Financial Management from the University of New Mexico where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity.

David Juchnevicius, MBA
Mr. David Juchnevicius brings 11 years of IT experience in corporate multi-platform environments. He has a strong record of success in creating robust IT architectures and infrastructures as well as strong competency in complex data analysis.

Mr. Juchnvevicius has 10 years of operating experience working for Robert Castillo. Prior to joining Invision Capital, Mr. Juchnvevicius was working as an IT Director for Mr. Castillo at Premier Card Solutions, LLC (“PCS”), a Valor Equity Management, LLC, portfolio company and also at Associated Data Services - ADS.

Mr. Juchnevicius earned a B.S. in Computer Science and a M.B.A. in Business Management from Kaunas University of Technology.
